InfraBIM Open is a technical convention dedicated to the digital transformation of the Infrastructure sector. Created by buildingSMART Finland in 2018 with the support of  RIL, this professional event is hosted by France - in Lyon - August 30 to September 1st  2021 with buildingSMART France, INDURA representing Hub Innov'Infra and the PN MINnD-Irex as organizers.

buildingSMART Finland

bSFinland is a collaboration forum founded by Finnish Property Owners, A/E Consultants, Software Vendors and Construction Companies. The Forum aims to disseminate information on BIM and support its member companies for implementing the BIM-based processes. The goal is to help the member companies to recognize the benefits of BIM and help them to develop and implement BIM-based business. Another aim is to promote the dialogue between the software vendors and end users. Forum organizes BIM related seminars and member events. The Finnish buildingSMART Forum provides a link to the international BIM development and a way to influence into it. Building Information Modelling makes the operation of networks more efficient and improves the performance of the network. Our mission is to maintain the competitiveness and the development in BIM related business among Finnish companies. Forum offers a platform for these activities to our members.

buildingSMART France

Created in 1989, buildingSMART France - Mediaconstruct is an association that brings together all the players in the construction and operation of buildings and territories and has represented France within buidlingSMART International since 1996. A place for sharing experiences and practical "BIM for all" productions (memos, BIM methodological guides, technical experiments and observations, etc.), bSFrance supports professionals in the appropriation of processes and interoperable digital technologies related to BIM.  With openBIM, bSFrance also supports the digital transition of the construction sector in a perspective of digital continuity, a necessary condition for Industry 4.0. The position of buildingSMART France - Mediaconstruct is threefold:

a win-win approach for VSEs in relation to the training efforts made by the major companies to ultimately allow everyone to integrate BIM into their activities or even to develop new services to take advantage of the benefits of the digital transformation of the sector;

Involvement in standardization as a lever for international competitiveness but also for productivity for craftsmen in France;

a vision of smart construction, where buildings and infrastructures come together around the Industry of the Future and French Tech.

The INDURA cluster brings together more than a hundred economic, technical and scientific players from the world of transport infrastructure and energy around a common objective: to develop together innovative solutions that meet current societal and environmental challenges.
Created at the end of 2009 by 22 founding members and labelled "cluster" by the Region in December 2014, INDURA is an accelerator of the innovation process in favour of ever more efficient, resilient and economical infrastructures.

MINnD is a national collaborative research project on "Interoperable information modelling for sustainable infrastructures", launched in March 2014 and labelled by the steering committee of the RAGC network (applied research in civil engineering). MINnD is actively contributing to the modelling of the existing, the management of assets and assets, the modalities of reception in BIM, the management of uncertainties and tolerances in BIM Infrastructures and to the extension of Ifc at the international level (bridge, road, rail, tunnel and geotechnics). MINnD is at the origin of the EduBIM network, a meeting and exchange place dedicated to the teaching of digital mock-up and BIM. A reference project in the construction sector, it is increasingly mobilising the entire French sector and has acquired an international reputation. MINnD Season 2 (for the period 2019 to 2021) aims to make progress on "BIM Infra" subjects necessary for digital continuity for infrastructures such as structuring, qualification, creation, use of data; and collaboration.

L’Irex - Institute for Applied Research and Experimentation in Civil Engineering - develops collaborative research and supports innovation through National Projects such as MINnD. Representative of the challenges of the civil engineering and public works sector, with academic research but also through practical applications and experimental sites, these research projects bring about advances in innovative processes, products or technologies. By providing a body of technical and scientific knowledge through academic research and through experiments on a scale of 1, the national projects pilot the drafting of guides or recommendations that will disseminate knowledge and serve as a basis for a technical doctrine or pre-standardization.
