The 4th edition of InfraBIM Open will take place in Lyon from january 10 to 12,2022
After 3 years in Tampere (Finland), IBO is exporting and France has been chosen! It is not by chance, but by the willingness of French players in Smart Infrastructures - bSFrance, MINnD National Project and INDURA - to apply to buildingSMART Finland to host this international professional event in Lyon.
Indeed, France stands out for its expertise and initiatives in openBIM and BIM Infrastructures because :

MINnD, a national research project on the digital continuity of Infrastructures, their interoperability which has no equivalent in the world because of the partners it brings together (more than 60 private and public structures) and the solutions it brings to the sector;

a regional dynamism around Infrastructures 4.0 with the Hub Innov'Infra bringing together INDURA, Odéys, Novabuild, Eco-Chantiers, l’Irex.

buildingSMART France 's involvement in the technical and strategic bodies of buildingSMART International, the Frenchspeaking forum of openBIM, and the emergence in France of Smart Construction in the broadest sense through concrete "BIM for all" actions.
It should be noted that, following the example of previous editions where IBO is not held in the Finnish capital, it was deliberately chosen to organize IBO21-22 in a region where technological innovation and infrastructures form a strong territorial development axis: the Hub Innov'Infra proposed Lyon with INDURA as the bridgehead.
The professional world was expecting an event dedicated to Infrastructures 4.0
The 1st InfraBIM Open - an international professional event organized in 2018 by buildingSMART Finland - brought together 400 participants for its first edition in Tampere.
In 2019, around 500 participants from more than 25 different countries will attend the 2nd edition with 60 presentations.
In 2020, also in Tampere, IBO confirms its position as a key event for the digital transformation of Infrastructures, still gathering more than 570 participants from 31 different nationalities.
